Welcome everyone to the official blog site of Nate’s Escapades. On this blog, I love being honest and open about my adventures and where they take me.
SPOILER ALERT: I do have a foul mouth sometimes and prefer speaking in first person. If you don’t like it, consider yourself warned.
A phrase you may or may not know is, “The difference between an ordeal and an adventure is your attitude.” If you have heard this a thousand times from me, I do not apologize. If you haven’t heard of it, the phrase means attitude can affect how you look at something.
The short version is video production has been a part of my life since I was 13 years old. By no means do I have some secret origin story that transformed me into something greater. Growing up I hit a ton of road blocks like everyone else. I grew up in Missouri until 13, and lived all over Florida. I faced bigotry for being from the mid-west, being born of mixed decent, and even being gay. By no means was my life totally horrible. Honestly it was average and filled with several opportunities that I’m thankful for to this day.
On the brighter side, I earned the Eagle Scout Award and my SSI Scuba Certification. I got to live in Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Summerland Key, and all over Tampa Bay. I earned my high school diploma, my Associate of Arts, & my Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Production. After graduation, I did have one excellent opportunity lined up. However six weeks later my temporary job was completed and I had two words that raised a sinking feeling in my gut.
What’s next?
I honestly didn’t know. Those two words scared me to the point where I was stuck in a series of dead end job for six months. One day, I found out about a position where I can work abroad and be a video creator at the same time. After three months of showcasing my skills, my health, and work history I started my new job and combined my passion for travel and video blogging and I haven’t looked back.
Nowadays I am no longer concerned with what’s next. The new question is “Where to next?” Life can be a compass dictating where our dreams and goals develop. Through every ordeal, we tend to feel disoriented no matter which way we turn. But the difference between an ordeal, and an adventure is your attitude. And on Nate’s Escapades, I share my adventures and mishaps both big and small through the camera lens. Each event offers the opportunity to change us for the better. I want to inspire others through my video blogs to explore their own escapades. My name is Nathan Krafve. Come join me on more adventures through the social links below.
